The status panels show which layers, channels, and elements within
channels are currently active. "Active" refers to any channels
with non-default parameters. The panels also show any
FastTrack timelines that are currently active.
The top level status panel can be opened from the
button in the System Bar.

The buttons could be either grey or yellow depending on whether that layer is currently default or in use. They may also be cyan if that layer is currently being copied. |
Clicking on any of the layer buttons opens a status window showing
all the channels and elements in that layer. For example clicking
on the
button opens the R2 Status panel:

Clicking on the
replaces
this panel with an "Expanded" version, containing channel labels. You can display these "Expanded" panels by default by switching the "Status Panels" option in Room Setup from "Normal" to "Expanded". |

The different icons show the main
elements of different layers and channels (HSL key, shapes, beziers,
primaries, Output HSL, etc) and whether those elements are default or
in use. This example shows that a shape and HSL key has been
created on Layer 1, with a bezier curve in effect outside
the shape. In Layer 2 (the six vector corrector), the Red and
Green channels have been used, whilst the BYCM channels are all default.
In COPY or READ modes, the status panels
behave slightly differently and can be
used to switch between the current event and the copy event for
individual layers, channels and elements.
