Make sure that items have been backed up before removing them.
Press and hold on the item that is no longer needed. Here a project is
being removed.
A menu will appear, choose Remove Project.
Alternatively drag and drop the item to the bin 
.
To reclaim the space you must permanently delete the items by emptying the bin.
