Release Notes
Please note: If you currently use Platinum v639 or below with a Spirit
HD/2K/4K, please contact Pandora before upgrading.
v764 (5th October 2011)
- New Spirit4K Framing timing offset parameter. This can be
used to adjust the timing of the Spirit4K fine framing separately from
other Spirit4K parameters.
- New "Manual/Auto" switch in Data Setup - Spirit4K panel. If
set to Auto, image size will be read from the Spirit4K rather than set
from Platinum.
- Fix for a crash when using the Creative layer transparency
controls.
- Fix for crashes using some knobs on Creative layers.
- Millennium TK - Max shuttle speed is now 20 rather than 15.
v762 (17th august 2011)
- Bug fix with panel mapping on Creative layers.
- Fix to allow decklink card to be used for thumbnail grabbing,
whilst allowing an external stillstore.
v761 (19th July 2011)
- Bug fix to stop a conflict when grabbing images in Data mode,
which was occasionally causing a crash.
- Bug fix with the mapping of the panel for R1 Bezier layer (was
corrupting bezier curves).
- Bug fix for red2red button on inactive lists in Data mode.
v760 (17th May 2011)
- Bug fix for lockup of Platinum GUI/panels.
- Handling for Autodesk *.lut 1D LUT files, and Da Vinci 1D *.data
files.
- Bug fix when opening lists using "New" in Data mode. This
was responsible for allowing only five lists at once and not allowing
them to be reopened when closed.
- Defocus output/coring values can be copied or swapped between C1
Defocus channels and the C1 Defocus background through the Expanded C1
Defocus panel. Note the key defocus parameters are part of the
"Key" group, not defocus group.
v759 (16th March 2011)
- New Feature (Revo only):
Can now turn on multiple channels at the same time. With no
modifiers, pressing the channel buttons will switch to that channel as
normal. However, pressing ALT and the channel buttons will add
that channel to the current controls (or remove if it's currently
on). All knobs and resets will now affect all channels selected.
- New "Full" panels for the revo layers. These can be
accessed by double-pressing the R1, C1, C2, or R2 layer buttons.
- Bug fix: Stop a crash when pressing CUE-IN or CUE-OUT with no
In/Out point.
v758 (9th March 2011)
- Bug fix for Revolution colour timing syncs.
v757 (8th March 2011)
- Implement Decklink for thumbnail grabbing if no Stillstore
license (will not grab full-size stills).
v756 (2nd March 2011)
- New user option to either use full tablet height or maintain
screen aspect ratio on tablet. This is useful when splitting the
tablet in left and right sections (see v754
release notes).
- Revo Hue, Sat, Lum isolation: Left/right (or high/low) soft edges
can be adjusted independently by holding ALT (above "Layer 1" on SCC
panel, or "Trim" on Transport panel) and using Width and Softness
isolation knobs. This works on creative channels and six vector
colour cubes.
- If using license dongle, splash screen now indicates if Pogle
Workstation is present and allows this to be disabled if
required. If not using a license dongle, the workstation must
always be present.
- Bug fix when grabbing images from Enter or Add in Video mode (was
causing a crash).
- Bug fix in Data mode when Adding/Entering events (was causing the
occasional crash).
- Bug fix for Decklink button in Vault when using license dongle.
- "Stripe All VTRs" bug fix.
- FastTrack points are shifted with Event. To fix FastTrack
points (ie. shift event while leaving FT points on same frame) hold ALT
key when shifting event.
- Bug fix to stop clipping in some circumstances when using soft
isolation in six-vector channels.
v755 (20th January 2011)
- Bug fix when clearing EDL params in the EDL Full panel.
- When splitting the tablet in left and right sections (see v754
release notes), maintain aspect ratio for each half.
- Warn if Platinum appears to be running more than once.
v754 (3rd December 2010)
- Fix for DVNR control, broken in v752.
- Support for Decklink card for list images and stillstore.
Note: you must be running the 64 bit of Red Hat Linux to use this
feature.
- YoYo Integration: new options for using tablet with yoyo and
platinum. Option (in User Setup) to split the tablet in half and
use one side for YoYo and the other for Platinum, without the need to
switch between. Default is previous behaviour.
- Fix for Video Revo Autoshot.
v752 (27th October 2010)
- Bug fix for Platinum startup in certain situations.
- Bug fix when selecting individual FastTrack timelines.
- Fix for note saving (broken in v751).
v751 (14th October 2010)
- New layout for User Setup panel.
- Support for 16-point Iridas 3D cubes (requires latest firmware).
- Fix for encoder handling if Evolution panels drop out (parameter
was jumping when an encoder was touched for the first time after a
drop-out).
v748 (29th July 2010)
- Bug fix to stop overflowing system log and debug with errors in
some situations.
- Bug fix to stop crash when resetting Pixi with "YoYo"
selected as DDR source.
v747 (25th June 2010)
- New Annotations
feature to add written notes to projects. These can be used to
mark whether, for example, the project and lists were created with the
legaliser turned on, or a noise reducer in circuit.
- Revo Datamode:
- Original Events in the EDL (obtained with the "Grab EDL" button
or by pressing Enter without a list open) are now displayed in the List
text view in white. Extra events, added by the user or Revo
Autoshot, are displayed in Yellow.
- EDL Events (white) cannot be shifted or deleted. If these
are incorrect it indicates that the original EDL is incorrect and the
EDL should be fixed on the YoYo or client side and reimported.
Added events (in yellow) can be shifted or deleted.
- Events added with the Autoshot are now treated in the same way
as user added events and so can be deleted, shifted or new events added.
- In COPY or READ mode, if you break away a single layer (eg. C1),
an individual channel can be selected with the channel buttons.
This only selects a single channel. If you wish to select more
than one channel, use the Status
panels.
- Bug fix in READ mode when selecting C1 using the "C1" key on the
Transport panel (previously was not turning on and off the C1 layer
using the button).
PLEASE NOTE: DVNR AGR-IV users require the May 2005
firmware
upgrade for your DVNR for all versions of Pogle Platinum listed here.
