Revolution CDL Summary Release Notes

Revolution CDL 1.0 is the first release for Pandora's compact Revolution image processor, representing a cost effective solution to take full advantage of the new Revolution scaled architecture. Revolution CDL is an ideal solution for dailies (or [daily] rushes) - common features include an ASC/CDL Primary, a bezier Primary. and a 6-vector Secondary. There are 2 configurations, Base and CDL - Base has an additional 6-vector, CDL has Input and Output LUT's (including a 33-point 3D cube at the input stage). Driven from the Evolution-T3 control panel, these systems can network and share data with all other Pandora suites.

Changes to Revolution CDL 1.25

Improved Filmcache operation between software restarts, plus support for EDL conforming.
R2 shape controls are on gain trackerball when on the right layer and ALT is pressed. In this mode (with ALT held down) double clicking the trackerball reset button will set the shape to a default shape.
ImageMill Steady fix.
Improved status panels.
Revo Autoshot support (chargable option - please contact Pandora for details).

General Issues

Supported configurations

Revolution CDL will only run on Red Hat Enterprise Linux WS (version 4 update 2+) on a PC with an x86 Intel processor. It will not run on the SGI/Irix platform. Revolution CDL only works with the Evolution-T3 control panel from Pandora and the software for the Evolution-T3 is part of a separate install. Pandora supplies pre-configured PC systems with all the required software already installed. If you have any questions please contact Pandora.

Installation Notes

The Revolution CDL package can be installed by moving the package file (in Pandora's .ppl file format) to the /pogle/versions folder; here it can be installed like any other Pandora software updates.
